Once a year Bideford Quay comes alive to the skirl of the pipes and the swing of the kilt as it becomes home to the biggest gathering of Pipers & Drummers in the South West of England as part of the Bideford Festival of Piping & Drumming.
The festival begins with a spectacular concert on Friday 7th September and continues on the Saturday evening with Bideford Carnival and the highlight of the weekend, Bideford's Massed Pipes & Drums.

The Carnival procession starts at 6.00pm, followed by the Massed Pipes & Drums at approximately 7.45pm. Ending with a spectacular firework display at about 9.30pm.

At 11am on the Saturday and Sunday there will be a lone piper playing beside the Kingsley Statue.
